Mike Bresko has over 29 years of international business and consulting experience, the past 24 of which have focused on guiding or managing Lean or Lean Six Sigma transformations and business culture change. His specialties include Lean Management, Lean Transformations, Lean Six Sigma deployments, client-specific Business Operating System creation, Training Within Industry (TWI), and product and service innovation.

Mike began developing his expertise in 1986 as a member of Alcoa’s corporate quality team, which benchmarked best-in-class companies for Lean and Total Quality practices and developed and implemented methods that formed the Alcoa Business System, modeled after the Toyota Production System. He has managed large-scale, world-class transformation projects, applying the methods of Lean, TPM, Six Sigma, and Management Systems for clients in manufacturing, technology, and service industries.

Mike’s clients include John C Lincoln Health Network, Cigna Insurance, MicroSurgical Technology, Rolls-Royce, Boeing, multiple companies in the aerospace supply chain, Verigy, Agilent, the U.S. Army, Gerdau AmeriSteel, U.S. Steel, Nucor, Ford, Mercedes, and automotive Tier 1 suppliers.

Prior to starting his consulting business in 1996, Mike served as President of Alcoa-Zepf and Global Manager Alcoa Packaging Equipment. In this role, he served on Alcoa CSI’s Global Lead Team which set strategy and drove Operational Excellence as this Alcoa subsidiary with facilities in 22 countries grew annual revenue from $190 million to over $1 billion. Mike holds a BS and MS in Engineering from Carnegie-Mellon University and an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh; he is a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt.
